Class Experience
In this one-time class, the students will listen to a fun story about a popular donut chef who has some new competition! A battle of the bakers ensues! There will be some strange ideas for new donuts. What will work? Who will buy them? There will be laughs galore! Questions will be asked and predictions made along the way! After, we will become donut makers and design our own donuts to eat! Yummy! ** My teaching style is organized and full of fun while being relaxed and friendly at the same...
*The student will work on story retelling. *The student will make predictions. *The student will practice good listening skills. *The student will engage in conversation. *The student will engage in an art project.
*I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for children’s literature and being able to incorporate books into all subject areas. I want my students to be excited about reading/writing and I feel that my passion comes thru in each story I tell!
*plain donut *white frosting *food coloring *sprinkles *ziplock baggie (if more than one color, then you will need more than one baggie) *scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
*Parental guidance will be needed with using a butter knife or plastic knife and scissors.
