In this eighth 'Fractions - Have No Fear! 50-minute class', students will learn about the meaning of decimals, changing decimals to fractions and changing fractions to decimals.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to convert decimals and fractions with each other.
2 files available upon enrollmentWhiteboard and dark dry-erase marker (Paper and black marker will work as well). 'Multiplication Grid' if student does not know all of their math facts (attached). Converting Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages (attached). Calculator if student does not know all their math facts.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
[optional] In the event that there is time left over at the end of the class, we may play a friendly game of Kahoot (where each player enters the game as an anonymous player) so that the students can review their new learning in a non-threatening format. For those students who prefer not to play, or who are unable to access Kahoot, they can participate in the review through the main page with the teacher, where they can see the questions and the option of answers provided for them to choose from.
