A Day in France: Food and Culture
Class experience
This class is focused on learning vocabulary about meals (ex. breakfast, lunch, appetizer, dinner), and exploring French regions through their culinary specialties. I will be using a slide presentation to show word spelling and pictures depicting aspects of regional cultures in France (ex. landscapes, people), and their gastronomy, as well as a map throughout to show location. Students will learn vocabulary related to daily meals and the names of regions within France, along with names of dishes/foods.
I am a native French speaker and have done a lot of tutoring and teaching French to kids. My strategy is to engage the student and make it as pleasant and fun as possible, so that learning comes naturally.
