Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, we will take a dangerous tour of the world!  We will learn about some of the most extreme places on the planet, exploring both geography and science in each location.  We will take a look at dangerous locations and events all over the world - from Alpine avalanches to extreme heat in the desert!  We will cover a quick scientific explanation of natural phenomena such as hurricanes look at the biology of fearful creatures like crocodiles.  

This class is taught through...

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Some of the places and situations we discuss may be frightening to some learners.  This class does not discuss numbers or details regarding loss of life and destruction, but may still frighten more sensitive learners.
