Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students develop compassion for others by learning more about why democracy matters at home and abroad, and how it acquires different shades of meaning in different cultures. By learning more about value tradeoffs in these countries, students also gain a better appreciation of the blessings (and plight) of home.
I have a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Comparative Politics that required me to take a number of various political and historical classes on past and present civilizations around the world. I also have a Masters of Education in Secondary Social Sciences (history, political science, etc.) I am certified by the state of Alabama to teach social sciences for grades 7-12. I have also taught world history for over four years and have researched world history and its politics for 20.
