Description
Class Experience
In this 6-week unit students will read A Christmas Carol, and together we will discuss each stave. Every week there will be a new assignment that focuses on either reading comprehension or writing practice. This will be a discussion heavy class, where I hope to have students explore and question the reading. Week 1: -Predictions and introduction to the story -Students will read stave 1 independently for homework Week 2: -Discuss stave 1 -Practice similes, making connections &...
Students will need: A Christmas Carol book (available at Barnes & Noble for $3.95) The movie is available on Disney+ and other platforms but I will provide it for students if necessary.
There will be no formal assessment, but I will provide student feedback upon request.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
