Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
This class will cover A Christmas Carol reading comprehension questions and full discussion. There will be games, slides, and video clips to keep learners engaged and having fun!

While learners do not need to have any prior experience, it is expected that students can read and complete assignments during the week. This is a more advanced version of A Christmas Carol novel study, so it is best if your student enjoys a challenge. Vocabulary, reading outside of class, and additional activities will be required for this class.

If this seems too much, no worries. I offer a standard curriculum for this novel which incorporates the US standards for 7-9th graders.

While this class does offer a lot of material, the certificate will be focused on the required material for the class, which includes reading, writing, vocabulary development, figurative language, and grammar. Make no mistake, this is a challenging curriculum.

Each chapter will have a vocabulary practice and quiz, reading comprehension discussions in class, figurative language practice, and video clips to introduce the chapter as we read it together.

Don't forget about adding creativity to the class! What's learning without a little fun and creativity? While these options are not required, they have proven to aid in contextualizing the information in a fun and creative way. Activity options include but are not limited to:
poetry
creative writing
illustrations
creating a song or rap
constructing a model of a scene in the chapter or novel

Hi! Thanks for checking me out!

I teach middle to high-school English, math, social studies, medical terminology, creative writing, essay writing, novel studies <3, and gemology.

I'm a certified teacher from grades 4-12. I also teach at a local community college.

Learning can and SHOULD be fun. Even if a student doesn't LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the subject, it really doesn't matter. Making class fun, safe, and SUPER Interactive is SOOO important to me.

A little about me... I'm a total nerd. No joke! I own it like a badge. I've served our country and I LOVE helping people. I have three rescue fur babies, one amazingly beautiful daughter, and a wonderful husband! My in-laws are as AWESOME as my own parents! I'm blessed for every day I have.

Can't wait to meet you in a class SOON!!!
