We will be reading and discussing "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens in this Christmas book club. We will read and discuss 1-2 chapters each week. Week 1: Chapter 1. We will start reading this chapter and talk about the characters mentioned so far. We also talk about the life of Charles Dickens. Homework: Finish reading Chapter 1. Week 2: Chapter 2. We will talk about what we have learned from Chapter 1 and start reading Chapter 2. Homework: Finish reading Chapter 2 and also read Chapter 3. Week 3: Chapter 3. We will go over Chapter 2 and also Chapter 3, discussing how the story is progressing. Homework: Read Chapter 4 and also Chapter 5 (finishing the book). Week 4: Chapter 4-5. We will go over Chapters 4 and 5, talking about how the characters have changed. We will discuss the book as a whole and if we would recommend this book. *Subject to change.
