Class Experience
This class will use lectures, games, and interactive sites such as Nearpod. Google slides are used for guided notes 1. Reading and inquiry skills will drive each lesson. Below you will find the skills listed by each lesson. 1. States of Matter - Relate cause and effect - Infer 2. Changes of State - Compare and contrast - Predict 3. Gas behavior - Identify the main idea - Graph
Students will receive homework weekly. There are several lab options as well. Labs are to be completed independently.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some labs may require parental supervision. Nearpod, Google Sildes, and Kahoot are used in this class.
Introduction to Chemistry by Pearson (This book is available on amazon and should not cost more than $10) The textbook is part of the interactive science series.
