Class Experience
Ted Harrison is one of Canada’s favorite painters. He was born in England in 1926 but immigrated to Canada’s Yukon in the 1950’s. His vibrant paintings of the people and the landscape of the Yukon Territories has brought Harrison many fans. The learners will view A Brush Full of Colours: The World of Ted Harrison. We will look at examples of his paintings and discuss his art. A step by step lesson on landscape drawing will be taught and learners will be encouraged to be creative and unique...
I am passionate about arts education and believe that art is so important in a child's life! I am enthusiastic about each lesson I teach and every lesson has been carefully planned and tested in my art classroom. I teach in a positive way and encourage each learner express themselves in their work. I love helping students discover their artistic talents!
* 12” x 18”white construction or watercolor paper * Liquid Tempera Paints (blue, white, red, orange, turquoise) * Red, turquoise, pink and purple oil pastel * Round paintbrush
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
