Ted Harrison is one of Canada’s favorite painters. He was born in England in 1926 but immigrated to Canada’s Yukon in the 1950’s. His vibrant paintings of the people and the landscape of the Yukon Territories has brought Harrison many fans. The learners will view A Brush Full of Colours: The World of Ted Harrison. We will look at examples of his paintings and discuss his art. A step by step lesson on landscape drawing will be taught and learners will be encouraged to be creative and unique and to use unexpected colors in their piece, just like Ted Harrison did. The finished piece will showcase what was learned and each student will have a beautiful painting to display at the end of class.
