Homework
1-2 hours per week. Any writing or assignments not completed in class will be completed and submitted before the following class session.
Assessment
Students will receive a participation scores for each class session. Students will receive a rubric score and feedback for their final writing project.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
In this 4-week, twice a week class, students will learn and practice writing responses to literary short stories through lecture, guided discussion, and group and individual practice. This class will provide direct writing instruction in writing responses to literary short stories. As a class, students will work through the process of brainstorming, organizing, writing, and editing a response essays. As part of this process, students will submit a piece of writing using responsive writing on a text that serves a specific purpose and addresses a particular audience.

The Final Individual Writing will be a final assignment due via "Conversation" and will be scored within 48 hours using the scoring Rubric and feedback.
