Homework
1-2 hours per week. Any writing or assignments not completed in class will be completed and submitted before the following class session.
Assessment
Students will receive a participation scores for each class session. Students will receive a rubric score and feedback for their final writing project.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
In this 4-week, twice a week class, students will learn and practice Problem-Solution Argumentative Writing through lecture, guided discussion, and group and individual practice. This class will provide direct writing instruction in Argumentative Writing. As a class, students will work through the process of brainstorming, organizing, writing, and editing an argumentative essay. As part of this process, students will submit a piece of writing using argumentative writing on topic of their choice that serves a specific purpose and addresses a particular audience.

The Final Individual Writing will be a final homework assignment due via "Conversation" and will be scored within 48 hours using the scoring Rubric and feedback.
