Description
Class Experience
First, there will be a review of working with (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing) integers including absolute value. Word problems are included. Second, expressions will be evaluated and there will be practice interpreting words into expressions. Last, one and two-step equations will be solved. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The math problems used in this course are from ixl.com--a widely used educational website with curriculum for each grade level. I am using my ixl.com account for the math classes so there is no need to subscribe to ixl.com. Problems are shared on the screen for students to discuss and solve during each class. The resource ixl.com is approved by Outschool.
