8th grade/Pre-Algebra Math Summer Camp

In this multi-week course, a small class size of students will be refreshed on the major math concepts taught in 8th grade or Pre-Algebra. This class could also be a great intro course to students entering 8th grade or taking pre-algebra.

Description

Class Experience

Students will have a better concept of the skills covered in 8th grade/pre-algebra curriculum. This will help students prepare for Algebra 1, or act as a basic introduction for those entering 8th grade/pre-algebra.
The weekly videos that are posted before class will take 10-25 minutes to complete as there are comprehension/practice questions mixed in with the videos, as well as time for students to take notes.

Practice problems/activities will be assigned after each session that should take no more than 30 minutes outside of class to complete. This allows students to have independent thinking/practice with the skill that was covered.
Students will be provided with lesson resources before the beginning of each session. These resources may be printed if a printer is available. If not, students can copy down in a math notebook.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
