2-4 hours per week. Students will have homework assigned to them every week. They will have several options to choose from which will include solving real world problems, creating a presentation to teach the concept or a traditional worksheet. Homework should take no more than 45 minutes every week.Assessment
Students will have several assessments throughout the course. There will be short quizzes, quick checks, and tests given throughout each unit along with the weekly assignments.Progress Report

US Grade 7 - 9
Beginner - Advanced Level
This semester long, self-paced course will cover the 8th Grade Math Common Core Standards. Topics will include algebraic equations, transformations, angles & triangles, and graphing and writing linear equations. Due to the fact that this is a self-paced course, students who are already taking 8th grade math can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete 8th grade math curriculum. Videos will be uploaded weekly along with practice assignments, homework, and additional resources. Students will use the Outschool classroom to access all materials and homework. Two lessons will be posted each week. Each lesson will include videos, lessons, and homework. Discussion questions and activities will also be found throughout the course. These math lessons will integrate real world and engaging topics. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real world and concrete assignments. Students will turn in their homework through the Outschool classroom to receive feedback. A certified teacher will be available for questions and grading.
