8th Grade Math Club
The Math club is based on the essentials of middle school mathematics. This is an ongoing intensive math club for standards aligned learning. Note: because there is no end date, the topics will recycle back to the beginning.

US Grade 8
The ongoing club dates will take place once a week. The topics are not connected, so students may come in and join at any time during the year or skip a week. This reviews common standardized math topics, remediation, extra practice, and home learning help. This is not a live class. Students will complete tasks with mathematical fluency. Students will engage in discussions that reflect on the mathematical thinking of self and others. I have taught middle school mathematics in the public school system for about 4 years. I am certified to teach in the state of Florida. I have taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade mathematics to special education students on a general education curriculum and following the standard pacing guide and mathematics to middle school students with severe cognitive disabilities in a self-contained classroom and other special education settings. In addition, Google slides, Google Forms, Youtube, IXL, Khan Academy, and Kahoot will all be used for in-classroom learning, content review, and participation during the class sessions. These educational technologies are not going to be assigned outside of class.
Homework Offered
Students will not have home learning, but rather will receive Mathematics HL help during math club. If parents desire home learning activities, follow up assignments may be given by the teacher.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Student learning is measured through formative assessments through an interactive educational technology called "Kahoot!"Grades Offered
