I am a certified teacher with endorsements in reading, language arts, social studies and ESL.
Each week, students will watch lessons over the standards, complete readings, have discussions with peers, and complete assignments. Please make sure your student has four or more hours each week to work on this course.
Materials Needed: -Access to Google Docs/Drive through a Google email address -“The Crossover” by Kwame Alexander
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be assessed on the standards listed in the course description. Assessments will be shared with the teacher through Google Docs. The teacher will score the assessments with feedback and place the scores into an online gradebook. Students will be able to track their progress in each standard through the online gradebook.
No live meetings, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
Please research “The Crossover” by Kwame Alexander to make sure it is appropriate for your child.
