This four part course will provide your eighth-grader with a full curriculum including Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Computer Applications in a small group setting!

40 live meetings
60 in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. Students will be given homework Monday-Thursday for each subject. The homework will not be due until the next lesson of that subject is taught. For example, Monday's math homework will be due Thursday and Langauge Arts homework will be due the following Tuesday.
Assessment
Students will be given projects and assessments after each unit.
Grading
Report cards are offered at the end of each course.

Class Experience

US Grade 8
*Enrollment and cost is for one of four parts. Learners who subscribe to part 1 receive a 10% discount towards part 2. Part 2 subscribers receive a 15% discount towards part 3. Learners who have subscribed for three consecutive parts receive a 20% discount towards part 4. 

This course will entail every core subject that your eighth grader needs to know! 
This is a full curriculum that is taught by a certified and licensed educator and will cover the 8th-grade common core standards.

This is a great way for your student to meet friends and have a consistent teacher and fellow classmates throughout the year. 

Students will be expected to come to class Monday-Thursday and will have optional and individual help on Fridays.

Students will be given homework Monday-Thursday for each subject. The homework will not be due until the next lesson of that subject is taught. For example, Monday's math homework will be due Thursday and Langauge Arts homework will be due the following Tuesday. 
Homework should take no more than 25 minutes each day. Study hall and individual help is offered each Friday. 

The weekly schedule will include the following:

Monday:
-Homeroom/Executive Functioning: 30 minutes
-Math Talk: 15 minutes
-Math Lesson: 45 minutes

Tuesday: 
-Language Arts:  30 minutes
-Reading: 30 minutes
-Writing: 30 minutes

Wednesday: 
-Science: 45 minutes
-Social Studies: 45 minutes

Thursday: 
-Math Talk: 15 minutes
-Math Lesson: 45 minutes
-Elective 30 minutes

Friday: 
-Teacher Office Hours for individual help, questions, or study hall.

Students will turn in assignments through Google classroom. They will be given grades/feedback for each assignment along with individual and in-depth report cards after each semester.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Nearpod will be used for this class. No account will be required. Gizmos and IXL accounts will be provided for students. Students will login with a class code. Google classroom will only be used for students to turn in their work during class time.
