This Level 2 series is a continuation to the Anime Head & Face Part 1 class. Students will learn how to draw full bodies and stylize their characters with dynamic movement to bring them to live.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
Intro to Human Anatomy
Students will learn the fundamentals on human anatomy to construct well-proportioned human figures.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Intro to Line of Action
Students will use Lines of Action to draw dynamic poses.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Itachi - standing pose
Students will apply the learned concepts in Week 1 and 2 to draw a basic standing pose.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Sasuke - fighting pose
Students will apply the learned concepts in Week 1 and 2 to draw a more advanced action pose.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Kakashi - kicking pose
Students will apply the learned concepts in Week 1 and 2 to draw a more advanced action pose.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Naruto - mid-air jumping pose
Students will learn foreshortening techniques to draw an exaggerated pose.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Minato - throwing pose
Students will apply foreshortening techniques to draw an exaggerated pose.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Sakura - running pose
Students will combine foreshortening and high-angled perspective techniques to put "drama" into a dynamic pose.
Students will be able to design anime characters with pencil sketching techniques. They will master the fundamentals on human anatomy to construct well-proportioned human figures. Students will understand Lines of Action to draw dynamic poses and combine foreshortening and high-angled perspective techniques to illustrate dramatic movements.
Teacher Allie
Teacher Allie May is a contemporary artist who loves to indulge in all mediums, but focuses most on drawing and painting. She is a graduate student in the BFA program at California State University Long Beach, and aims to pursue a career in teaching art. Her art influence began at a young age, but she considers herself “self-taught.” Allie is passionate about encouraging students to master the fundamental skills and technical aspects of creating, but also develop a style that is unique to each student. Her promise is to encourage a mindset where students are confident in themselves and their ability to create.

Teacher Angela is a versatile artist with a BFA in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her expertise extends to various art forms, including still life, landscape, and figure drawing. She is also skilled in fashion, 3D clay design, animation, and photography. Teacher Angela is known for fostering an environment that encourages her students to think beyond conventional boundaries, recognizing the profound impact of creativity on learning and development.

Teacher Brittany
Teacher Brittany is a professional artist and illustrator.  She holds a BA in Arts with a concentration on Visual Technology.  She also gained valuable industry experience as Technology Lead and Animation Instructor at art schools. She has worked as a freelance concept artist and illustrator in game design. She utilizes a background in comics, storyboarding and animation to bring creative concepts to life. With a strong background in traditional and digital painting, Brittany is currently teaching a wide variety of classes in various mediums to merge her love for illustration, painting and game development.

An E-Certificate of Completion with grades will be provided for learners who have completed all sessions and actively participate in class activities, including sharing their work at the end of each meeting. Learners who miss more than 3 meetings or do not participate in showing their work may not be eligible to receive the certificate.
