The 8 Week Creative Writing Challenge for Teens is a fun and interactive program designed to boost self-confidence and foster creativity. Through group activities and prompts, teens can enhance their writing skills in an engaging and supportive environment, while having fun and connecting with others who share the same passion.

Learners will be able explore and use various writing styles and techniques, including fun and creative approaches such as lyric writing and poetry, as well as writing prose creatively.

In each class, learners will have the opportunity to share anything they are working on themselves (not required), as well as exercises that were given for homework.  


Meeting 1: Introduction and Group Exercises

Meeting 3: Writing Prompt Exercise (to be worked on either by themselves or in groups)
                    Individuals/Groups can show what they wrote if they would like to.

Meeting 4: Writing Prompt Exercise (to be worked on either by themselves or in groups)
                    Individuals/Groups can show what they wrote  if they would like to.

Meeting 5: Writing Prompt Exercise (to be worked on either by themselves or in groups)
                    Individuals/Groups can show what they wrote  if they would like to.

Meeting 6: Writing Prompt Exercise (to be worked on either by themselves or in groups)

I have been teaching classes for the last 25 years. I have a BA degree in Studio Composition from Purchase College. Even with working in the entertainment industry, I have always left room in my schedule to offer classes.
