Students will be taught how to draw and paint several different holiday-themed paintings during this multi-day class. Topics will include what makes drawing as well as using lines to create shape and texture to create other colors. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to draw and color different holiday paintings during each class by using shapes and lines. The students will be encouraged to be creative and add their own creative touches to the creatures as well. The lessons will not build on each other. The topics of conversation, as well as additional details, will be learner-directed. The lessons will not build upon each other from class to class as we will create a different holiday-themed painting each day.
I have taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5. I am a certified Special Education Teacher, Regular Education Teacher, and Media Specialist (School Librarian).
There will be no homework assigned.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learners will be assessed utilizing informal assessment throughout the lesson.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The students will help guide the topics of conversations as well as some of the details to be included in the holiday-themed paintings.
There are no outside sources that will be utilized.
