Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 8
Welcome to an enriching 7th & 8th-grade reading and writing class where students will master all of the core skills from a typical semester. In the first class, we will have an introduction to the class with poetry.

Then, students will need their own copy of "Bruiser" to read the assigned chapters outside of class. Each week students will be assigned about 50 pages of reading along with a packet that aids reading comprehension. Please note that while it may seem like a lot of chapters, they are short, and the reading is limited to about 50 pages per week.

Once the book is finished, the teacher will guide students to complete a book report. Finally, in the last week, students will get to explore their creativity by writing a narrative based on the book such as a journal entry from a character, an alternate ending, or a sequel.
