Welcome to 7th Grade Math where students will learn and review their objectives in a fun and engaging way by using Nearpod! This class is perfect for students who are entering 7th grade or want a review on the 7th grade math objectives Every lesson will be taught as if it was new to the student to ensure that they understand the material. The lesson will be fun and engaging as they will get to play fun games to reinforce the lesson, do activities like drag and drop activities and many more activities that can be found within Nearpod Students will be able to participate in the class by various formats. They can come off mute and ask questions, they can show their work on the Nearpod, or they can ask questions on the chatbox. I love to ensure students are understanding the material, therefore students will be asked questions throughout the lesson. They can either answer verbally or in the chat box. If after the summer you would like to continue your child’s learning with us please look at the other Fall classes to reserve your spot **Nearpod is a fun and interactive platform that students love because it is extremely hands on. Students will NOT need a paid account to access it. They will receive a link prior to class and at the beginning of the class to simply click on it and login** During some lessons we might play a game of Blooket WEEK OF: May 30: Multiplying fractions with unlike denominators/Dividing fractions with unlike denominators June 6: Volume of Cylinder/Volume of Cone June 13: Positive Scientific & Standard Notation/ Negative Scientific & Standard Notation June 22: Pythagorean Theorem; Finding Leg/Finding Hypotenuse June 27: Adding/Subtracting Integers July 4: Dividing/multiplying integers July 11: Add/Subtract fractions July 18: Multiply/Divide fractions July 25: Real number system; Rational Numbers/ Irrational Numbers August 1: Exponents/Square roots August 8: Slope/y-intercept on a table August 15: slope/y-intercept on a graph August 22: slope and y intercept on an equation

Please note that students do not need to create an account to access Nearpod or Blooket. A link will be given to access the lesson prior to class and at the beginning of the class.

STUDENTS WILL BE ACCESSING NEARPOD THROUGH THEIR COMUPUTER OR SEPERATE DEVICE IF POSSIBLE IF STUDENTS USE THE LINK THROUGH THEIR COMPUTER THEY WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR ME, BUT NOT SEE ME SO A SEPARATE DEVICE SUCH AS A TABLET IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED
