Hey y’all, welcome all learners! I am so glad you stumbled upon my page and hope to see your smiling face soon! A quick insight, this is an ONGOING course, we will meet twice a week, meant to cover all 7th grade curriculum according to common state standards. This is a great course for a homeschool learner, or someone who needs additional support on a certain topic. Anyone is welcome to join, you can stay for a few days, weeks or the entire curriculum or can hop in and out at anytime. if you do decide to join for a certain topic, in that case it is expected that there is prior knowledge or have received some sort of instruction related to the topic. My lessons are all similarly structured starting with the agenda at the very beginning of class, a quick warm-up meant to spiral back from the previous meeting, then I will use the (I do, we do, you do) teaching approach for the mini-lesson, followed by the closure, which will consist of an exit ticket where I can get instant feedback on students level of mastery on the topic. I will provide NOTES for students to print out if they wish to do so to follow along with the lesson. There will be NO HOMEWORK as students are expected to do practice while in the meeting to better help you learner. This is not a graded class but I will if you want additional practice I will provide it. My Goal is for every student to feel SUCCESSFUL and CONFIDENT in Math with a teacher that allows them to make mistakes and learn from them. 7th grade Math Overview: Unit 1: Rational Numbers Unit 2: Equations and Inequalities Unit 3: Foundations of Linear Functions Unit 4: Proportional Reasoning Unit 5: Measurement Unit 6: Probability Unit 7: Financial Literacy First few weeks of 7th grade Math curriculum Week 1: - Classifying Rational Numbers/ Problem solving with Rational numbers adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions Week 2: Combining Like terms and Distributing Modeling/solving two step equations Week 3: Solving one and two step equations without Decimals and Fractions.
