Students will represent and solve proportional relationships. Students will use equations and graphs of proportional relationships to solve multistep problems.
Homework Offered
I will provide 5-10 example problems for homework after each class. This is voluntary and will be reviewed at the beginning of the next class. If a student is struggling, they can post their concerns on the classroom wall for more clarification. Homework should not take more than 15 minutes per assignment.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will assess students in class based on their participation and homework (if they do their homework). Students will also have occasional quizzes.
Grades Offered
I will provide a feedback report on each student at the end of the course. Please let me know if you would like a letter grade for this class.
Students need to have taken 6th grade math or have been tested on a 7th grade level. We will review some 6th grade concepts to build on.
Students should have a math journal to keep their notes in and solve example problems. No textbooks or workbooks are required.
