In this 8 week course students will meet twice per week to learn and practice the 7th grade math standards! This is quarter one of a year-long class! This class includes two homework assignments per week with teacher feedback!

Description
Class Experience
Students will master proportion and ratio word problems. Students will understands how to calculate tax and tip. Students will enjoy math and have fun in class!
I have a degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have a masters degree in education from the university of North Carolina at Charlotte. I taught fifth and sixth grade math for eight years before deciding to stay home with my three daughters. I have tutored many students in middle school math and I am excited to teach seventh grade with your child this year!
I will send approximately 10 questions following each live meeting to be completed the following day! Feedback will be provided after submission of each assignment! Homework is optional but recommended :)
A math notebook, pencils, glue stick/tape, post it notes, pdfs that I send throughout the class and a scientific calculator. Optional items: a small whiteboard/marker, colored pencils or markers
I will assess students throughout the class. I will communicate with parent once per week about student progress. I will send an assessment at the end of each quarter that is open note. I will provide feedback for each homework assignment and test.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners should have successfully completed a 6th grade math curriculum.
