Here's what other parents have been saying about this class: "Excellent! I can't recommend this instructor and course enough. My son was lucky enough to take 7th Grade Math for the duration of the school year with the wonderful Ms. Boham. Ms. Boham covers all of the 7th Grade math milestones using a variety of methods, including real-life examples, games, and more. My son has a more introverted/reserved nature, especially in online courses, but Ms. Boham's warmth and personable teaching style allowed him to feel comfortable participating sooner rather than later. Math is his favorite subject, and only more so after taking this class. Thank you!" "My 13/14 year old son enjoyed this class so much that he asked to continue through the summer! We recommend this class as well as the teacher — she is great with the kids and with keeping me (mom) up to date with my children’s education. Wish she offered higher grade mathematics!" "My son really enjoyed the class. He didn't even mind waking up early to go to this class. He said Ms. Boham made the class fun and that's the best way to learn! In the beginning of class, there is direct instruction and then there are math games and practice. My son said that he liked the way that Ms. Boham explained concepts too. Signing up for her next class now. " I hope to see your learner in class soon. :) Mrs. Boham

Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in Mathematics
Hello families!
My name is Jennifer Boham and I have been teaching math for 15 years. I hold a Florida Teaching License with certifications in Elementary Education and Middle School Math.
I love helping students overcome learning blocks like frustration, self-doubt, and of course boredom. My goal is to make sure your child feels supported in class and confident in their academic ability. I achieve this through patience, kindness, positive encouragement and lots of FUN.
When I was a young student, I actually struggled with math! This gives me a unique perspective and helps me reach students who are feeling frustrated. I overcame that frustration because I realized that my mindset was the only thing in the way. I realized that math could actually be fun! I never would have believed that before! Here I am, many years later, starting my 16th year of teaching math - another plot twist! I look forward to helping your learner find joy in learning math this school year and gain the confidence that will propel them forward, helping them reach their dreams.
My family and I live in Florida with our dogs Pepper and Dexter and our cat Junebug. I enjoy traveling, gardening, biking, relaxing at the beach and going to Disney!
Teaching is my passion, and I appreciate you sharing your learner with me!!
