7Th Grade Math Full Course - Concepts Based, Problem Solving Approach and Fun Games

Students will explore 7th-grade math. In each class, a new concept is introduced and practiced to master it. Use this as a full homeschool curriculum or a review. If an 8th-grader needs a refresher this is good as well.

Class Experience

US Grade 7
7th grade is a critical math year as it introduces pre-algebra concepts of integers, ratios, equations, and inequalities, slope, graphs. This course covers all the skills needed to master 7th-grade concepts and provides the framework for success in the next school year.

In each class, a new concept is introduced and practiced. The approach used is I do, we do and you do!
Firstly the concept is introduced and then I will demonstrate some practice problems and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk through solving the problems. After this, students will be doing a few problems on their own using the steps we've practiced.

In order for students to gain the best class experience, they need to come to class ready to participate and discuss. Each class will be independent of previous weeks, allowing students to sign up for the lesson(s) they want to enroll.

Students will be provided with a worksheet to complete after each class to practice the topics individually. Worksheets are optional but are highly encouraged to make sure students have a solid understanding of each topic. If students complete and submit the worksheet I will provide feedback and I am always available for questions.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi There,
I have a Master's Degree in Computer Science. I worked in many IT companies. I have been teaching computer programming and math for over 4 years to kids from k-12. I also own a tutoring company called Genius Coders Academy.
My teaching philosophy is to put students first - I go at their pace but also challenge them so they can learn something new and raise their bar. I also level-up my courses so learning is like climbing stairs as I strongly believe that a strong foundation is a must for any kind of learning and to be successful. I love teaching. It's my passion. It brings me so much joy and a job well done - wow moment when I see a child feels accomplished.
Outside my profession, I love hiking, yoga, and cooking with my kids.

Please follow my Facebook page- @GeniusCoders3
as I will be sharing events, workshops, and free resources on my FB page as well.
