Part 2 of 2 This Summer course will be a great opportunity to get a head start on seventh-grade math concepts or gain more individualized practice for students who have just completed seventh grade. This course will cover the basics of the Common Core Seventh Grade Math Standards. We recommend that students who are either entering seventh grade or who have just complete seventh grade enroll in this course. However, if you feel your child is excelling in math and needs a challenge, please feel free to enroll them! Due to the fact that this is a flexible course, students who are already taking 7th-grade math can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll in a complete 7th-grade math review. Videos will be uploaded weekly along with practice assignments, homework, and additional resources. Students will use the Outschool classroom to access all materials and homework. The weekly schedule will include the following: Monday: Pre-Recorded video lesson with exposure and instruction of the concept. Students will be given three homework options to choose from to complete by Thursday. Tuesday & Wednesday: Students will work on their assignments on their own. They can message me for additional assistance during this time. Thursday: Review activity and the lesson will be posted. These math lessons will integrate real-world and engaging topics. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real-world, and concrete assignments. Students will have the opportunity to engage with one another through platforms such as Flipgrid and discussions in the Outschool classroom. Students will participate in engaging and interactive platforms such as Kahoot, EdPuzzle, and Quizziz in order for me to accurately assess. The following topics will be covered throughout the course.
