This 7th Grade Literature Class is a Survey Course. The intention is to finish the discussion of a book every 3 - 4 weeks. The books rotate from the following list: The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (This book would take at least 3 weeks) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkein Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt (The Tillerman Cycle, Book One) Dicey's Song by Cynthia Voight (The Tillerman Cycle, Book Two) Night by Elie Wiesel Nothing But the Truth by Avi Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck To Kill a...
Students can either purchase the digital or print editions of these books from Amazon.com (I get books for all of my courses there) or borrow books from the library. Students will know at least a week in advance what the next book will be. The Gutenberg Project (https://www.gutenberg.org/) is an additional resource. It has over 54,000 free public domain ebooks.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
