Students will learn Spanish vocabulary as it relates to Social Studies and Geography. They will practice small conversations and learn to read and write in Spanish. We will begin each class by exploring what students already know and want to know about each topic. Second, we will read a short story book or scientific text about the topic. I may assign weekly reading, writing or simple research questions to explore (1-2 hours per week).
Fold 6 pieces of paper in half to create a Social Science Journal (Diaro de Ciencias Sociales) and bring it to class each week. Please bring your Journal (Diaro), extra paper, pencil, markers/crayons, white board with dry eraser marker to each class. Map or globe (optional)
