This engaging class will cover the foundational concepts of ratios.

Structured around interactive lessons, students will participate in discussions, group activities, class polls and problem-solving exercises that promote collaboration and critical thinking. Expect a variety of teaching styles, including lectures, games, and multimedia presentations to keep learners engaged.

Lesson are presented via slideshow screen share. A lot of opportunities for student participation and feedback!

Hand out provided can serve as review sheet for any additional practice or homework later in the year.

This class is designed to be inclusive, supporting learners with unique needs by providing additional resources and tailored instruction methods. Ideal for students with Dyslexia and ADHD.
Parental Guidance
No specific content requires parental guidance, but active participation in group projects is encouraged.
Supply List
Learners will need basic math supplies such as paper, pencils, and a calculator for certain activities. A handout will be provided at the start of the course for notes.

I  had the opportunity to teach students in grades K-6 in the classroom and most recently have worked with teachers and administration to provide support in developing math curriculum and classrooms environments, as a network Math Coach. 

I have a B.A Sociology with a concentration in Child and Family Studies, along with 10+years teaching in the classroom.

I have extensive experience teaching math concepts to elementary and middle school students, including specialized training in engaging diverse learners (i.e ADHD, Dyslexia, ODD)
