What's included
2 live meetings
1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
US Grade 6
We will work on understanding and solving math questions. Together we will decide what information is important and how we will use the information to solve the problem. I want students to think about how they would solve each problem and share their thoughts with the class. Sometimes there is more than one way to solve a problem and that is a great thing to learn in class. I will be interacting with students the entire class time through discussion and we will attempt as many problems as we can fit in a class; however the goal is to have an in-depth analysis of each problem so that each student understands how we came to the solution. I also understand that some learners may not feel comfortable participating and that is okay too! Please let me know ahead of time if your learner wants to just listen and learn. All learners are welcome and they do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience with these problems. Everything will be explained step by step. ——————————————————— Class Schedule (Tuesday Thursday) ——————————————————— Week of June 6 -classify whole numbers, integers, and rational numbers Week of June 13 -identify a number, its opposite, and its absolute value Week of June 20 -locate, compare, and order integers and rational numbers using a number line Week of June 27 -order a set of rational numbers

Hello, I'm Ms. Crystal! I love math, reading, and being social!
I will have social clubs and book clubs, where we can read, have discussions, and have fun getting to know each other.
I'll also be offering classes in math intervention and test prep.
I truly believe anyone can be great at math and that's why I'm so excited to be teaching here on Outschool. You don't have to know a certain level of math to learn and be successful in my classes. I will guide you each step of the way! If you need a specific day and time please message me and I will see if I can meet your requests.
I have a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and I also have my teacher certification to teach grades 4th-8th. I also have experience tutoring students in reading and math at the elementary and middle school levels.
