Description

Class Experience

This course is geared to give rising 6th graders a head start on their upcoming math topics.  Students will be taught the monumental learning objectives from the top four units within 6th grade math.  The top four units are Number Systems, Ratios and Proportions, Expressions and Equations, and Geometry.   Each 50 minute session will include a 15 to 20 minute mini lesson from the teacher and allow for an estimated 30 minutes of activities and practice.  Sessions will allow students to engage...

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Google Jamboard
Kahoot

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Creating accounts for Google Jamboard or Kahoot are not mandatory to complete this course.  Jamboard will be utilized to share student work and teacher feedback.  Kahoot will be utilized as a slide shows with interactive tools.  Parental consent is required for Kahoot.
