In this class, we will prepare for the math concepts covered in 6Th grade together, making notes and practicing and learning throughout our time. Some of the concepts that we will cover are: *Apply addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to real life situations *Advanced graphing skills *Solve story problems with multiple steps *Practice mental math - solving in our head, and estimating *Convert different measurements *Add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers *Introduce integers and variables *Explore percentages and ratios *Understand more advanced geometry concepts My teaching style is easy going and laid back. No experience or prior knowledge is needed!

My philosophy behind teaching is that the more fun and relevant the lessons are, the more kids relate to it and want to learn more. Math can be fun when it is applied to situations in our lives. My desire to help students drives me to continue improving lessons each day!
