Learner Goals for 6th Grade Mathematics: 1. To master the fundamental concepts of arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of integers, fractions, and decimals. 2. To develop a strong understanding of algebraic expressions and equations, including solving one-step and two-step equations, and graphing linear equations. 3. To enhance problem-solving skills by applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations, including ratios, proportions, and percentages. 4. To learn and apply geometric principles, including calculating the area and perimeter of two-dimensional figures, and finding the volume and surface area of three-dimensional shapes. 5. To understand statistical concepts, including interpreting and creating graphs, calculating measures of central tendency, and analyzing data sets. 6. To develop a growth mindset and persevere through challenging problems, while also collaborating with peers to deepen understanding and develop new ideas.
For over three years, I have been involved in teaching mathematics and providing tutoring services. As a mathematics teachers, I have a deep understanding of various mathematical concepts and their applications. Homework Offered
Homework is assigned every week in either the form of a PDF worksheet or a Khan Academy assignment. If the homework is in PDF form, learners can submit it to me as an attachment through messages in the form of an image, scan, PDF, or DOC.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
