Description
Class Experience
In this 6th grade math course, students will gain a new confidence and understanding for 6th grade math. This is an appropriate class for an advanced 5th grader, or a student in 6th grade, or even a student looking to review. Students are encouraged to have a graph paper notebook to complete each weeks work. Students will begin each class discussing academic vocabulary for the days lesson. Students will improve their knowledge and understanding of key 6th grade math curriculum. It is my goal that they will gain a new confidence when completing math problems.
I am a 6th grade teacher, who teaches math daily to young students just like yours!
IF time does not allow, students will be asked to complete the quiz following the class.
Pencil Graph paper OR Graph paper notebook Ruler Calculator (Optional for checking answers) Markers or colored pencils (Optional for color coding different problems)
I will use the quiz taken by students to assess areas of strength and weakness both individually and as a group.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
