Part 1 of 2 covers the first half of the sixth grade math common core standards and curriculum.

Due to the fact that this is flexible course, students who are already taking 6th grade math can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete 6th grade math curriculum. Videos will be uploaded weekly along with practice assignments, homework, and additional resources. Students will use the Outschool classroom to access all materials and homework.

The weekly schedule will include the following:
Monday: Pre-Recorded video lesson with exposure and instruction of the concept. Students will be given an assignment to complete by Thursday.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Students will work on their assignment on their own. They can message me for additional assistance during this time.
Thursday: Pre-Recorded lesson where I will go over the homework and assignments. Additional practice of the concept will be provided.
Friday: Optional resources will be provided to students who want extra practice with the concept. Students will be provided with individual feedback on their homework and assignments.

These math lessons will integrate real world and engaging topics. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real world and concrete assignments.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with one another through platforms such as Flipgrid and discussions on the Outschool classroom. Students will participate in engaging and interactive platforms such as Kahoot, EdPuzzle and Quizziz in order for me to formatively assess.
