6th Grade Math Curriculum: Part 1
Part 1/4: This 8-week course will cover the 6th Grade Math Common Core Standards. This is a great opportunity for students to get additional help after school or for homeschooled students to get math instruction for the year.

This 8-week course will cover the first half of the 6th Grade Math Common Core Standards. The following topics will include the following: Unit 1: Numerical Expressions Week 1: Powers and Exponents/Order of Operations Week 2: Prime Factorization/Greatest Common Factor Week 3: Least Common Multiple and Unit Review/Test Unit 2: Fractions and Decimals Week 4: Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Week 5: Dividing Mixed Numbers/Adding and Subtracting Decimals Week 6: Multiplying Decimals/Dividing Whole Numbers Week 7: Dividing Decimals Week 8: Final Review/Assessment Students who are already taking 6th-grade math can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll in a complete 6th-grade math curriculum. These math lessons will integrate real-world and engaging topics. Students will be using Nearpod, an interactive platform throughout the live lessons. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real-world and concrete assignments. Daily Lessons Include: Entry Ticket: Students will work on prior learned concepts while students are joining. Lesson: Students will participate in the interactive math lesson. Exit Ticket: Students will complete an exit ticket to show their understanding of the lesson. Homework: Students will be given a homework assignment to practice the new skill.
