US Grade 6
This Q1 course is what your child needs to master skills learned through part of 6th grade math. This course can be used as a supplement or on its own as a guide. Class will meet from Monday - Thursday. Students will begin each lesson with an introduction of the topic being discussed for that day. Students will always take notes on the topic being presented. Students will then work on guided practice examples as a class to address any misconceptions. Students will then work on independent practice examples to assess their learning. Students will have access to the worksheets and material being covered that week on the weekend prior to each week. Students are encouraged to keep a journal for notes and to print out the worksheets before the Monday of each week. Here is an overview of what topics will be covered during the 20 day course. Review of basic multiplication and division Classification of real numbers Conversion between Fraction, Decimals and Percents Ordering Rational Numbers Multiplying and Dividing Decimals Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Finding missing percents, parts and whole amounts Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing Integers Once you have signed up for the class you will have access to the detailed topics and day by day breakdown of what will be covered.
