Beginner - Advanced Level
This course is designed with two live classes each week where students will have the opportunity to review concepts, practice various types of questions, and receive clarification during Q&A sessions. Additionally, they will receive recordings of each class for further reference. The goal of the course is to equip 6th and 7th-grade students with a solid foundation in math, providing them with the necessary skills and tricks to approach the subject with confidence. As the course progresses, students will build on their knowledge and develop problem-solving abilities in various algebraic concepts to be covered in each week classes: I will follow this tentative schedule for this school year. Concepts to be covered in each week classes: Week 1 Introduction of 6th Grade Math • Review of basic arithmetic operations • Order of operations Week 2 Introduction to fractions and decimals • Introduction to fractions and operations • Introduction to decimals and operations Week 3 Number Sense and Operations • Understanding and working with integers • Integers operations Week 4 Expressions and Equations • Solving simple equations • Solving multi-step equations Week 5 Inequality • Solving simple inequality • Solving muti-step inequality Week 6 Geometry • Introduction to geometry terms and concepts • Classifying polygons • Calculating area and perimeter of shapes Week 7 Ratios, Rates, and Proportion Relationships • Understanding ratios and rates • Solving problems involving proportions • Using ratios to solve real-life problems Week 8 Introduction to percentage • Relation of percentage, decimal, and fraction • Percentage word problems Week 9 Statistics and Data Sets • Collecting and organizing data • Mean, Median, Mode, and Range
