This mini-course combines three of my classes into one.
The way I teach this skill is very easy to learn and your child will be prepared for success in Algebra.
I will show students how to do an exercise on the white board. They will learn by actually doing example exercises during class. I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed until the students are ready to do the exercises by themselves. Once started, I will check their answers for accuracy and follow up with any necessary explanations. I encourage all participants to try as many exercises as possible. I follow up the class with an upload of homework with the solutions.
Prerequisite: Students need to be fluent in :The four operations with positive numbers.
NOTE : Students must have a reasonable amount of academic maturity to enroll.

Day 1 : Add and Subtract Positive and Negative Numbers.
In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice adding and subtracting negative and positive numbers an essential skill in order to understand the language of Algebra. Using two basic rules which will remove all confusion about negatives forever. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Multiplying and dividing positives and negatives.
In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice multiplying and dividing negative and positive numbers an essential skill in order to understand the language of Algebra. Lesson 3:
Dealing with "double signs". i.e. -3-+5 etc.
In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice skills learned lesson 1 and lesson 2. Lesson 4:
Negative Exponents and Basic Scientific Notation.
In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice skills learned lesson 1 and lesson 2.
