In this private tutoring class, students will use the Spectrum Reading and Spectrum Language Arts Grade 5 workbooks to read, comprehend, and answer questions with the help of the teacher.

US Grade 5
This is a 1-on-1 tutoring class. I will be utilizing the Spectrum Reading and Spectrum Language Arts Grade 5 workbooks to introduce new stories. If you’d like to choose another grade level, please let me know. I teach this class in the Kg-5th grade levels. All the stories stand alone and are independent from each other. Students will improve their reading comprehension skills at the 5th grade level. Writing skills will also be improved as they answer questions using correct punctuation, capitalization, grammar and of course writing in complete sentences. Students will read passages rich in vocabulary and answer questions at the end. Language arts topics include singular and plural possessives, subject and object pronouns, comparative adjectives and adverbs, subject-verb agreement, synonyms, antonyms, metaphors, homonyms, and a lot more! A writer's guide is also provided to assist in pre-writing, drafting, revising, proofreading, and writing a final draft.
1 file available upon enrollmentWe will be working using the Spectrum Reading and Spectrum Language Arts Grade 5 workbooks. They are available on Amazon or at the Barnes and Noble bookstore. An author is not provided but the publisher is Carson-Dellosa Publishing LLC. I have received permission from the publisher stating that I may use these books in Outschool classes as long as the students also have them. Please have a pencil and the workbooks handy. The student must have these books with them for this class so we can work together on the exercises. Thank you so much!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
