This 8 week flex course will cover the following units of 5th grade science: Energy, Energy Transfer, Electricity Uses, Types Of Energy, Physical Change, & Chemical Change. This course is session 2 of 2. Students who take session 1 will be given a 35 off coupon for session 2.

Join Mrs. Collins, a certified science teacher with a passion for engaging lessons and labs, during this 8 week flexible format course. This fifth grade science class will focus on state and NGS standards. The course will engage students in investigations of scientific concepts. This class meets state and NGSS standards for 5th grade science. I also add in a few 6th grade standards for a challenge too.

This course will use the following 3rd party tools: Quizizz and Flipgrid Parents are needed the first week to help the student get started, learn how to find work, how to progress on the class wall, and how to upload work several different ways. Practice assignments are setup for the family the first week. All flex parents are asked to check the class wall a minimum of once a week, and the spiral notebook. Assessments are provided via Quizizz it will be the students' responsibility to write down their score. The parent can use the code to provide the test at home together, if they prefer. But we do ask that all parents check the class wall and spiral each week to work with the teacher to help the student keep a strong pace in the class. Upon registration you will receive a welcome letter, science template, and class expectation information. Please check your inbox.
