The 5th Grade NGSS Science Standards will be covered in this ongoing course in a hands-on and engaging way! We will learn about science as we explore the natural world around us driven by questioning and inquiry learning! Meeting 5th grade science standards and grow/foster a love for science!
I am a certified teacher and I've been teaching middle school comprehensive science since 2014 and I taught 5th-grade science many years prior to moving to middle school. I currently help design activities that support the 7th & 8th-grade curriculum for all of the science teachers and serve as a math and science instructional coach to K-5 elementary teachers. I will be incorporating reading and writing in this science course as well. I have a master's degree in reading and writing, and I am a firm believer in reading and writing in the content area.
Homework Offered
Homework activities are optional but highly recommended for learners to complete to support learning0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
