This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for students to review and practice math concepts taught in fifth grade. This class is the fourth of the series, and focuses on performing the four operations with fractions and mixed numbers. Below is a list of concepts that we will be covering during this course. Day 1: Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators Day 2: Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers with Unlike Denominators Day 3: Multiplying Fractions Day 4: Multiplying Mixed Numbers Day 5: Dividing Fractions Day 6: Dividing Mixed Numbers Day 7: Single-Step Word Problems with Fractions and Mixed Numbers Day 8: Multi-Step Word Problems with Fractions and Mixed Numbers After each live class meeting, an optional practice activity covering the previous lessons' topics will be send in order to provide more opportunities for independent practice. Please note that this is a multi-day class with a set schedule. Please review the entire schedule before enrolling, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded. Thank you!

Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic.
