🔎 Below is a step-by-step description of how my lessons will be conducted each day:

📢Class opening routine
✨ 1. Anticipatory Set
We will do a very quick fun activity that is related to the class topic to capture their attention, warm up interaction among students and set a positive tone for the class.

✨2. Quiz
I will quiz them on basic math topics to have a better understanding of their math skills before we begin the lesson.

✨ 3. Topic
The topic of the week will be introduced and I will explain:
🔸What the math topic means.
🔸 Why it is important to learn.
🔸 How it is used in our everyday lives.

✨ For each new math concept or topic such as Place Value, I will start with numbers that they are already familiar with before slowly progressing to larger numbers. Then I will:

🔸Break down the concept using methods they can easily follow
🔸Practice together with them with more examples, then let them try a few on their own.
🔸Prior to each lesson, worksheets will be provided for practice, and we will review them together in class.
🔸 In every class, we will review the previous week's lesson, make sure everyone understands it so far, and ask questions to make sure everyone is on the same page before we begin the day's lesson.
🔸I will quiz them or conduct an informal assessment about what they have learned that week.
🔸 We would end the class with a fun activity.
🔸 Finally, I will get feedback about the week’s lessons from the learners.

✨I am going to be delivering my lessons live using a combination of the following methodologies:
🔸 Direct Instruction
🔸 Problem-Solving Approach
🔸 Guided Discovery Approach
🔸 Discussion Method
🔸 Visual Approach

✨I will use the Zoom whiteboard, Google Slides to teach, tell stories, present kid-friendly short videos/video clips and cute images to explain and demonstrate concepts. I will use Google Form for class assessments or quizzes.

✨ Direct Instruction ➝ Lesson Presentation
🔸I will deliver lesson content directly to learners verbally using slides. In an effort to facilitate learning, I will share a sequence of slides designed to engage learners and help them follow along as I speak and teach.

✨ Guided Practice ➝ Class Exercise
🔸We will work together on reading and practicing class exercises that will help the learners explore and understand how to perform the skills. I will also ask them questions frequently during the lesson to:
🔸Keep them engaged and ensure they are following.
🔸Check for understanding
🔸Ensure that they are not overwhelmed with all the new information.

✨ Independent Practice
To strengthen the new skills they have learned, I will assign classwork to the learners to complete independently and apply the skills they have just learned. It gives them an opportunity to try it out for themselves.

✨ Closing
To wrap up the class, I would ask the students what they learned and discuss ways they can use the skills. The purpose of this is to recap or summarize what was taught and check for understanding.

✨Worksheets for take-home activities for them to practice will be uploaded and shared with parents/guardians/caregivers of each student enrolled through Outschool.

⏰ About the Class Scheduled Times ➝ Your time zone should be reflected on my enrollment page. Kindly use that to make sure, please.

Thank you so much and I look forward to having your child as a learner in my class.

Learning Goals

🎯 Lesson Goal:

🏆 By the end of this class, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of all the skills they learned over the year on their own.
