This class is interactive, where I will break concepts down and check for understanding throughout the class. I scaffold and adjust my pacing to suit the needs of the students. I will use visuals, mnemonics, real-world examples, discussion, guided notes, and games to ensure a deep understanding. Student participation is expected. I strive to make learning fun and instill confidence in the student. My classroom is more than a place to learn conversions and formulas; it is a safe, supportive...

Measure volumes by counting unit cubes, using cubic cm, cubic in, cubic ft, and improvised units.Lesson 14Volume of irregular solidsRelate volume to the operations of multiplication and addition and solve real world and mathematical problems involving volume.Week 8Lesson 15Circles & symmetryIdentify parts of a circle and whether two figures are symmetric. Draw a line of symmetry.Lesson 16Geometry reviewReview concepts covered in the geometry unit.
Students will represent and interpret data. Students will understand concepts of volume and relate volume to multiplication and to addition. Students will graph points on the coordinate plane to solve real-world and mathematical problems. Students will classify two-dimensional figures into categories based on their properties.
Homework Offered
I will provide 5-10 example problems for homework after each class. This is voluntary and will be reviewed at the beginning of the next class. If a student is struggling, they can post their concerns on the classroom wall or message me privately for more clarification. Homework should not take more than 15 minutes per assignment.Assessments Offered
I will assess students in class based on their participation and homework (if they do their homework). Students will also have occasional quizzes. I will also provide a feedback report on each student at the end of the course. Please let me know if you would like a letter grade for this class.Grades Offered
