Class Experience

In this class, the student will receive a 1:1 private tutoring session with a licensed teacher.   This is a private 55 minute 5Th Grade Language Arts, Reading and Writing class.  In this class, we will engage in a range of topics including reading comprehension, summarizing written text, different literary genres, and writing.   We will pick novels to read for this class.

Student will learn strategies to enhance and improve their reading comprehension,  literacy, and writing skills.

 I am a teacher certified to teach grades K through 6.  I have taught in public schools for over 20 years. I believe that all children can learn and the role of a teacher is to provide learning solutions that enhance a learner's learning ability.  I will utilize best practices and core curriculum standards in the learning process, and I will incorporate my many years of teaching experience to optimize learning for your child.

Dependent upon the learner, I may provide extension activities for students to take home with them for extra practice if necessary.

Paper, pencils, whiteboard, markers, and access to a computer for writing.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
