Description

Class Experience

This course is part 1 of my 5th Grade English Language Arts THIRD Semester class, which has been split into three parts for convenience. Each part makes up the whole Semester, but need not be taken in order, you also have the option to also only enrol for the part your learner requires. This class will meet once a week for 4 weeks with the following learning aims:

WEEK 1 – This class will use a Kahoot! game to practice 5th grade spelling words and exceptions.

WEEK 2 – In this class learners...

Learning aims :
- spelling & grammar
- synonyms and antonyms
- use of the passive tense
- use of semi-colons, colons and dashes for correct punctuation

I have a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and a Diploma in Teaching Literacy in Primary and Secondary Schools.
I am currently studying an MA in English Literature and am a qualified English Language teacher with TEFL.

Learners will not need any supplies for this class

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Week 1 will use the Kahoot! web based app, learners will not need a download or login, a link will be provided during the class to access.
